    • The Kelton House Museum & Garden: Mission Statement

      The Kelton House Museum & Garden, located in the Town Street Historic District, interprets urban life and the decorative arts in Columbus, Ohio during the second half of the 19th century, largely through the collection of the Sophia and Fernando Cortez Kelton family.

       

      Reflecting the culturally diverse nature of the past and the present, the Museum preserves and develops its facility and collection, interprets local history, educates the community, and trains volunteers. The Museum provides a tangible representation of the mission of the Junior League of Columbus, Inc.

       

      Junior League of Columbus (JLC): Mission Statement

      The Junior League of Columbus, Inc. is an organization of women whose Mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

       

      Kelton House Museum & Garden and Junior League of Columbus

      The Kelton House Museum and Garden was founded in 1976 as a Community Service Project of the Junior League of Columbus after a generous donation by Grace Kelton, third generation Kelton.
