My First Tea Ceremony: A Japanese Traditional Tea

Saturday, May 3rd, 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

In celebration of Asian American, Pacific Islander History Month, The Kelton House is bringing this event back for 2025!

As the afternoon tea begins, guests will be greeted by Mrs. Masako Nagata playing the koto.  Bento boxes filled with Japanese treats will be enjoyed during her performance.  A short chat about Grace’s travels accompanied by a display of artifacts she brought back will be presented, followed by Ms. Passalacqua performing the tea ceremony.  Afterward guests will be invited to participate and learn the art themselves.
